The 2026 Voyage — Year One
April 25 – May 2, 2026
The inaugural Salish Sea Book Voyage launched on Independent Bookstore Day 2026, connecting nine independent bookstores across the Olympic Peninsula and Whidbey Island.
It started as a simple idea: what if we gave people a reason to visit every indie bookstore in the region?
Hundreds of voyagers picked up passports, collected stamps, rode ferries, explored new towns, and discovered bookstores they'd never been to. Some did it in a weekend. Some spread it across the whole week. A few are probably still working on it.

How It Worked
Voyagers picked up a passport at any participating store, then collected stamps by visiting bookstores across the region. No purchase required — just show up, say hello, and get stamped.
Complete the voyage (6+ stamps) and unlock rewards: discounts at every participating store, a free Libro.fm audiobook, and a commemorative sticker.
